Description.
White Hetian jade, with areas of honey- and orange-colored patina on the reverse. It depicts Guanyin, carved in a seated position, atop swirling clouds from which branches and beautiful blooming lotuses emerge, framing the deity. She is depicted in the “rajaliasana” posture, her body covered by a soft robe, with a serene expression, and holding a lingzhi branch. She sits on a carved wooden base decorated with wave and bamboo motifs. Qing Dynasty (1644–1912). or later.
