Description.
White Hetian jade, with a white hue and a satin sheen. The piece is a mountain-style carving, depicting a rugged landscape with cliffs, pine trees and meticulously carved vegetation. Figures of sages in a contemplative pose can be seen. The reverse of the piece continues the landscape narrative. It rests on a carved wooden plinth. Qing Dynasty (1644–1912). or later.
