Description.
Natural Hetian jade, white in colour with a silky polish. The piece depicts a pair of quails resting side by side, sharing a sprig of millet in their beaks, executed with meticulous detail that extends to the incised plumage. It rests on a carved wooden base decorated with leaf and fruit motifs. Qing Dynasty (1644–1912).
