Description.
An exceptional scholarly artefact comprising a natural, ovoid-shaped boulder of Hetian jade. The jade is notable for its fine texture, lustre and pure white colour, whilst retaining areas of its natural, reddish-orange oxidised surface. It is mounted on a carved wooden plinth. Qing Dynasty (1644–1912) or later.
