Description.
White Hetian jade with a satiny texture. The piece consists of a ritual Ruyi sceptre, whose lobed pommel is decorated in high relief with a fruit, crowned by a bat with outstretched wings. The handle, with a sinuous profile, features high-relief carvings of flowers, branches and lingzhis. Qing Dynasty (1644–1912). or later.
