Description.
A desk ornament carved from white Hetian jade. It is masterfully sculpted in high relief, making the most of the stone’s natural form to create a mountain grotto, inside which a young man leads his horse into the shade of a willow tree. It is mounted on a carved wooden plinth. Qing Dynasty (1644–1912) or later.
