Description.
An elegant white jade with a smooth texture. It shows the free-standing image of a large elephant with thick legs, a rounded belly and a tilted head ending in an elongated curled trunk flanked by two sharp tusks. At the top of the figure is a small child, dressed in traditional costume, with an expression of intense happiness on its face. Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) or later.
