Description.
Sculpture made of translucent white jade with reddish flecks, depicting a lion lying down, with its body upright and its forelegs stretched out in front of it. The figure has a wavy, expressive mane and defined facial features that show a wrathful expression with sharp fangs protruding from its jaws. The tail curls to one side, reinforcing the sense of balance. The jade has a uniform white hue with natural orange inclusions. Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) or later.
