Description.
Carved from nephrite of a pure, uniform white tone. The piece has a traditional Bi disc structure decorated on the front with a dragon in high relief surrounding the central hole, with a sinuous body, sturdy legs and a coiled tail, while the reverse side features a fine engraved decoration of clouds, volutes and dragons. The surface shows patina due to age. Ming dynasty (1368–1644).
