Description.
Carved jade pendant, naturally elongated and oval, with rounded ends. The jade is pure white and milky in colour, with dark brown and reddish ‘natural skin’ at one end. The decoration combines the natural stone with a gold metal mount that surrounds the jade, forming the head of a mythical beast. Qing dynasty (1644–1912).
