Description.
Carved white jade plaque, with an inverted trapezoidal shape with a curved lower edge and sides with stepped projections. At the top are two birds facing each other, with folded wings and incised details, flanking a central perforation. The main body is decorated with vertical linear bands that simulate spikes, and a wavy decorative band at the top. The surface is polished, homogenous white with slight natural inlays of a greenish hue. Qing dynasty (1644-1912) or later.
