Description.
A white jade plaque, evenly toned, translucent and matt-polished. Finely carved, rectangular in shape with lobed edges and an outer frame of stylised ruyi clouds. The obverse has a delicate motif of bunches of grapes and vine leaves, a traditional symbol of fertility and abundance. The reverse shows a poem in relief. The piece has a hole at the top, probably to be used as a pendant. Qing dynasty (1644-1912) or later.
