Description.
Creamy white jade with reddish veins. The piece, with a square base, is crowned by a masterfully carved high relief and openwork finial representing a nest of intertwined chilong dragons. The four sides of the seal are finely incised with an archaic pattern of geometric elements and braided cords. The base is engraved in relief with four characters in seal script: “呂弘之印”. Han Dynasty (206 BC - 220 AD) or later.
