White jade vase, “Scenes”, Qing Dynasty

Translucent white nephrite jade with a polished finish, carved in the shape of an oval-bodied vase, resting on a flared foot and crowned with a slender cylindrical neck, flanked by openwork scroll-shaped handles. The body is adorned with fine reliefs forming medallions that depict elegant garden scenes featuring figures. The concave lid features plant motifs in relief and a bulbous finial. Qing Dynasty (1644–1911).  or later.
