Description.
Ivory-coloured jade with areas of reddish-ochre patina. It depicts the body coiled in a ‘C’ shape, with the snout and tail almost joined. The head features prominent eyes, wrinkles on the short snout and stylised ears. It has a circular hole for hanging. Hongshan culture (c. 4700–2900 BC) or later.
