White porcelain “Dragon” cup with Yongzheng mark

Fine modelled porcelain, pure white in colour, known as ‘eggshell’. It has a flared profile resting on a small circular foot. It is notable for its anhua decoration (secret design); a delicate relief on the interior depicts a five-clawed imperial dragon, with its face positioned in the centre and its sinuous, scaly body winding around the walls against a background of surging waves and flaming pearls. On the base is the four-character imperial mark ‘雍正御制’.
