Description.
Large jadeite plaque in a pale green hue with vibrant emerald spots and lavender areas. The piece is in the form of a desk screen or pingfeng, where the jadeite plaque is inserted into a finely carved dark wooden frame. The surface of the gem is adorned with a profuse relief carving depicting a mountain landscape, with pagodas hidden among ancient pine trees, bridges crossing winding rivers and figures of sages walking along rocky paths. Qing dynasty (1644–1911).
