Description.
A square-bodied vessel with curved shoulders, made of natural nephrite jade. The body rests on a square foot and is complemented by a matching stepped lid. The jade has a pale translucent hue with notable natural alterations in ochre and brown tones. The four main sides are carved in low relief with a stylised dragon motif, surrounded by a dense pattern of archaic scrolls. Han Dynasty (206 BC - 220 AD). or later.
With gemological certificate issued by Hong Kong Kowloon Jade & Jewellery Laboratory LTD in 2023. SC199184.
