Description.
A pendant carved in greenish-yellow jade, depicting a dragon reclining in a dynamic position. The figure has an elongated and stylised body, a prominent head, curved horns, an open mouth and delineated limbs. The surface is decorated with incised spirals reminiscent of the ornamental style characteristic of the Han dynasty. The perforation in the centre allows it to be used as a pendant. The piece has a patina from ageing. Han Dynasty (206 BC-220 AD) or later.
