Description.
Archaic-style yellow jade figure, probably a terminal for a chariot. The piece, which is hollow, is carved from yellow jade with reddish and ochre veins. The front is sculpted with two symmetrically arranged archaic masks with anthropomorphic features, crowned by fine incised lines resembling hair. Zhou dynasty (2nd century - 221 BC) or later.
