Description.
Pale yellow jade carved figure, round and compact in form. It depicts a group of three lions, in a circular composition, playing and intertwined on a scrollwork base. The decoration is openwork, with rounded bodies, large heads and curled tails. The piece is presented on a dark carved wooden base with an openwork pattern of ruyi clouds. Qing dynasty (1644–1912).
