Description.
Yellow-coloured jade, with areas of ochre or reddish patina. The piece features a structure divided into two sections joined by a waist, and crowned by an ‘S’-shaped finial reminiscent of a compass needle. It is adorned with a taotie mask at the top and relief scrolls at the bottom. Han Dynasty (206 BC – 220 AD) or later.
