Description.
Yellow-green jade with marked areas of mineral alteration, ochre and brown. The piece is in the form of a plaque with a schematic design representing a mythological bird in profile. It features profuse bas-relief decoration covering both sides with a dense pattern of geometric spiral motifs. The specimen shows signs of natural erosion due to its age. Qin Dynasty (221–206 BC) or later.
