Description.

Yellow jade plaque with reddish-gold flecks in the corner and left side. It is carved on both sides and depicts six animals of the Chinese horoscope on each side over a rough sea of endless waves. On the obverse is a large five-clawed dragon in the centre, blowing from its mouth with a flying pearl, and on either side are the ox, rat, snake, rabbit and tiger looking up at the large central dragon. On the reverse, running over the waves of ruyi clouds with great dynamism, is the monkey on the back of the horse, the dog, the rooster, the goat and finally the pig. The image of Yin and Yang crowns both scenes. Qing Dynasty (1644–1912).

The mastery and quality of the details made in bas-relief stand out.
