Description.
Yellow jade with extensive patina in shades of brown, reddish brown and ochre. It depicts a crouching Bixie on a square base. The beast is notable for its raised head with a long beard, detailed limbs and a thick shell with hexagonal patterns. The base has incised characters. Song dynasty (960–1279).
