Description.
Carved jade in a yellowish-green hue with an ochre and brown patina. It depicts a dignitary kneeling on a square base. He is wearing a long-sleeved tunic that hides his hands, which are clasped together on his lap, and a headdress with a perforation. The expression on his face is serene and solemn. The base features characters incised in low relief. Han Dynasty (206 BC – 220 AD) or later.
