Description.
Carved yellow jade, with a profuse patina in reddish-brown and ochre tones. It depicts an eagle crouching on a square base, with folded wings, incised plumage and reliefs showing an intense expression and a curved beak. The base displays incised characters in low relief. It shows patina due to ageing. Song dynasty (960–1279).
