Description.
Yellow-celadon-coloured jade, with areas of ochre and brown patina covering much of the figure. It has a narrow quadrangular base, crowned by a sinuous mythological creature in a dynamic pose, with a serpentine body and raised head. The base bears an inscription in seal script. Song Dynasty (960–1279) or later.
