Yixing ‘Flowers and Branches’ ceramic vase, 20th century

Yixing ware vase “Flowers and Branches”, 20th centuryA vase made of Yixing ware, with a characteristic reddish-brown hue. It has an elegant body with smooth lines, a narrow base that expands into a rounded shoulder, and a long neck that culminates in a slightly everted mouth. The morphology of the piece is reminiscent of the traditional meiping model, although reinterpreted with a more stylised and elongated neck. The upper part of the neck is decorated with a delicate incised motif of flowering branches. An incised workshop or artist's mark can be seen on the base.
