Description.
Reddish-brown jade. The piece features the iconic ‘C’ shape, with a twisted body and an opening between the snout and tail. The detailed carving on the head is particularly noteworthy, with large eyes and a snout with horizontal incisions suggesting wrinkles. Hongshan culture (approx. 4700–2900 BC) or later.
