Description.
Jade pendant ‘Dragon Pig’ or ‘Zhulong’, greyish with extensive areas of patina in reddish brown, brown and ochre tones. The piece has the classic shape of an archaic coiled dragon that does not quite close completely. It stands out for its zoomorphic features, with large eyes, raised ears and a flat snout, all rendered in relief and incisions. Hongshan culture (approx. 4000–3000 BC) or later.
