Description.
An archaic amulet made of celadon-green jade with a patina in shades of ochre and reddish brown. It features the iconic ‘C’-shaped form of the dragon-pig (Zhulong), with a wrinkled, flattened snout, large circular eyes and erect ears. It has a central hole and a perforation at the nape of the neck for suspension. Hongshan culture (c. 4700–2900 BC) or later.
