Description.
Pale celadon green carved jade. It depicts the “Zhulong” (or pig-dragon), characterized by its C-shaped coiled body and its head with large ears and wrinkled snout. The piece stands out for the color contrast of the reddish-brown and ochre patina on the snout and tip of the tail. It has the characteristic suspension hole on the dorsal side. Hongshan culture (c. 4700-2900 BC). or later.
The piece is accompanied by a gemological certificate issued by Hong Kong Kowloon Jade & Jewellery Laboratory LTD in 2025. SC241723.
