Mixed media on canvas. The work exhibits a powerful composition of lyrical abstraction with a marked organic and textural quality. At its center stands an expanded circular structure evoking the corolla of an exotic flower or a psychedelic explosion, rendered through vibrant fields of color gradations in shades of yellow, green, orange, and intense red. Asymmetrically crossing the plane from left to right, a sinuous, textured relief in ochre and earth tones emulates a branch, bark, or vein of stone. The entire composition is set against a background of deep nocturnal blues, violets, and opaque blacks that enhance the dynamism of the central forms. Signed in the lower right corner and inscribed “Fuera de Serie” (One of a Kind) in the lower left corner. Year: 2003.
