Bronze censer ‘Beasts’, 20th century

Bronze with a dark patina. It has a square shape supported by four cabriole legs and two side handles. The body and lid are profusely decorated with scenes of mythical beasts, framed by bands of fretwork. Topped by the figure of a mythological beast on alert. An engraved seal with four characters can be seen on the base.
