Carved agate Dzi bead, Liao dynasty

Elongated Dzi-type bead (གཟི།), carved from ochre and amber agate with subtle translucent areas. It features a natural decoration of dark brown speckles distributed across the surface. The piece has two parallel circular incisions that mark the ends, enhancing its spindle shape. It has a smooth polish and patina due to its age. Liao Dynasty (907–1125) or later.
