Carved jade tube bead, Hongshan culture

Cylindrical carved jade bead with rounded ends. It has a longitudinal perforation. The colour is a mottled palette of mustard yellow and light brown tones, with inclusions and an ochre-coloured patina. The decoration focuses on simple, geometric shapes. Hongshan culture (c. 4700–2900 BC). or later.
