Chinese painting “Lady and poem”, 20th century

Beautiful Chinese painting made with ink and pigments on paper. It has a vertical and elongated form, which hosts a beautiful scene where a young lady sits next to high bamboo branches, on a steep rock, in a pensive position. The woman is dressed in a beautiful traditional dress, knotted by a belt at the hips from which hangs a jade ornament. Between her hands and resting on her legs, she holds a thin wooden staff on which her chin rests. 

On the upper left side there is a poem and a two-character seal.
