Chinese painting ‘Palace among the Mountains’, 20th century

Ink and pigments on silk, with frame. It shows, by means of an ascending vertical composition, a beautiful scene of a landscape surrounded by high mountains and steep rocks, which are crossed by a long stream and covered by an intense mist that descends from the height. In the lower area there is a small pathway, followed by figures on foot and on horseback, leading to a beautiful palace semi-hidden in the midst of nature. The upper left corner bears inscriptions ‘吴郡唐寅’ and a total of five seals. Qing dynasty (1644 - 1912) or later.
