Porcelain wash tray. The reverse side of the piece bears the mark ‘Ironstone/Staffordshire/England’. Ironstone is a type of heavy, durable ceramic developed in Staffordshire, England, in the 19th century. The tray is part of a complete Victorian bathroom set, which normally included a matching jug and basin. The design features a scalloped edge and a floral pattern of roses or flowers.
