Four Queen Anne-style chairs with Chinoiserie decoration, 20th century

A set of four chairs in ivory-coloured lacquered wood with gilded mouldings and carvings, a scalloped crest and an openwork backrest decorated with oriental scenes and Chinese-style pagodas. The seat is upholstered in beige over a cut-out waistband featuring painted birds and a carved skirt, supported by cabriole legs joined by curved ‘H’-shaped crossbars.
