Israel Paldi (1892-1979) "Scenes of Jerusalem"

Lithograph on paper by the renowned artist Israel Paldi (1892–1979). The composition presents a rural landscape with an expressionist style and modernist roots, characterized by terraced, cultivated hills in ochre, earth, and reddish tones. In the foreground, a leafy tree with a sinuous trunk and sharp contours stands out, alongside a figure leading a cart pulled by a donkey or mule across the field. The scene is completed by rows of stylized cypress trees silhouetted against the horizon and small olive trees or native shrubs. Signed in Hebrew characters in the lower right corner and numbered in pencil as a limited edition "66/999" in the lower left corner.
