Description.
Jade plaque carved in the open silhouette of a bird, probably an eagle. The figure is shown flat, with a long tail and open wings, drawn using simple incised lines. The jade is pale celadon green in colour, with areas of earthy brown alteration. Hongshan culture (c. 4700–2900 BC). or later.
