Jade pendant ‘Old Man Playing the Guqin’, Qing dynasty

A pale jade pendant, finely carved in relief with the representation of an old man seated under a tree while playing the guqin. The reverse side bears an inscription. The upper part, topped with scrollwork, incorporates a hole for suspension. Qing Dynasty (1644–1912).
