Manuel Luque (1853-1912) "Boats"

Oil on panel. The painting depicts a coastal scene on calm waters at dawn or dusk, featuring several traditional sailing boats with fishermen busy with their nets. The composition uses soft ochre, grey and blue tones in the sky to capture the atmosphere and the reflections of light on the water. Signed ‘M. Luque’ in the lower right-hand corner.
