Description.
Buddhist necklace composed of one hundred and eight spherical beads made of liuli ‘琉璃’, in a translucent red tone, assembled with larger rhythmic elements and a decorative terminal made of beads of the same material. The use of this type of beads, known as Mala, is traditionally linked to meditative and devotional practice in religious contexts, especially in Tibetan Buddhism. Its vibrant chromaticism and polished finish make it a piece of great visual presence. Qing dynasty (1644-1912) or later.
