Pair of Chinese dolls, c.1950–1960

A pair of papier-mâché dolls with painted features and closed eyes. They are dressed in traditional Chinese costumes made of pink and blue satin, finished with gold trimmings and detailed dragon embroidery on the torso. They include a straw hat, a hand fan and a blue parasol with a frame.
