Pair of “Heraldic Shield” porcelain plates, 20th century

A pair of glazed porcelain plates with polychrome decoration and a scalloped rim. The center of each plate is decorated with a European-style heraldic shield, topped by a helmet and a phoenix, surrounded by lambrequins. The rim features a geometric border with panels of plant motifs. The base bears a four-character stamp in red (永勝堂製).
