Polychrome porcelain bowl ‘Roosters and peonies’, with Chenghua seal

Porcelain decorated with doucai enamels on a white background. The exterior decoration depicts a scene with roosters, hens and chicks among flowering peonies and rockeries, in a composition that alludes to prosperity and family harmony. On the base is a six-character seal ‘大明成化年制’ in blue underglaze.
