Porcelain vessel ‘Mythical Beasts’, marked Tianqi

Globular porcelain jar with lid, decorated in polychrome ‘wucai’ enamels. The body features a continuous design with mythological creatures riding waves in cobalt blue, with decorative clouds in blue. Stylised leaf borders at the base and neck complete the composition. The base bears a blue underglaze character ‘天’.
